Ever wished that some of the things in your "Startup Items" or "Shutdown Items" folders wouldn't be launched every time you start/restart/shutdown your Mac, but just once a day?
With The Dailies that wish comes true.
Throw the "Daily Startup" application in your "Startup Items" folder. The first time it's run it will create a "Daily Startup Items" folder in your System Folder. Whatever you put in that folder will be launched no more than once a day.
Throw the "Daily Shutdown" application in your "Shutdown Items" folder. The first time it's run it will create a "Daily Shutdown Items" folder in your System Folder. Whatever you put in that folder will be launched no more than once a day.
System Requirements:
- AppleScript needs to be installed
- I've no idea what OS version will turn out to be the minimum needed. 't works fine under Mac OS 9.0.4 US on my G4/400.
Legalese:
The Dailies are freeware. Do with it whatever you like, except sell it!
Use at your own risk. I take no responsibility whatsoever to whatever damage The Dailies may cause to anyone or anything. Hey, it's free OK? ;)
Version History:
- 1.0.5 Now works correctly with non-US "Date & Time" settings.
